Music Ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church
The music ministry groups at Trinity Lutheran Church consist of: the senior choir, the
children choir, the adult and junior handbell choirs and, the
fine arts series.
The
Senior Choir

Membership in the senior choir is open to all Trinity Lutheran
Church members who are 18
years of age and older. The senior choir leads the
congregation in worship at the 10:30 am Sunday service and provides
special music during the offering each Sunday morning. A Christmas
cantata is presented by the choir during the Christmas Eve service.
Choir rehearsal is on Thursday evenings from 7:30 pm
- 9:00 pm from September to June.

The Junior Tone Chime Choir
The Junior Tone Chime choir is open to children grade 3 - up. We
have 5 octaves of tone chimes and they are easier for children to
handle. Occasionally they also ring the regular handbells. Some
knowledge of reading music is required.
This group performs once a
month during the offering at the 8:00 service and during the prelude
at the 10:30 service.
Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings from
5:45 - 6:30 PM.
The Senior Bell Choir

The Senior Bell choir is a group of 11 ringers open to adults
and more advanced young people interested in ringing handbells. We
have 3 octaves of handbells. Some knowledge of reading music is
required.
This group performs once a month during the prelude at
the 10:30 am service on Sunday mornings and provides hymn
accompaniments at Festival services.
Rehearsals are on Thursday
evenings from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.
The Voices in Praise
The Voices in Praise singers lead the congregation in
contemporary music at the 8:00 am service on the 1st and 3rd
Sunday of each month from September to June.
They rehearse after
Sunday School and prior to the 8:00am service.

Sunday School Children
The Sunday School children sing once a
month during communion at the 8:00am service and as a Call to
Worship at the 10:30 am service.
They rehearse during the
Sunday School opening at 9:15 each Sunday.
The Youth Group
The Youth Groups lead the worship at the 8:00
am service on the 5th Sunday of the month.
They are under the
direction of Sparky Wetherell, Director of Christian Education (386
671-6140).
The Fine Arts Committee
The Fine Arts Committee, under the
leadership of Elaine Schumacher, plans three concerts each year
usually in Jan., Feb., and March. Traditionally, the January
concert has featured the Music Ministry Staff at Trinity Lutheran
Church: Elaine Schumacher, Associate Organist. The Senior Choir, Bell
choirs and other musicians from the congregation have also
participated. In the past, we have had guest organists playing the
29 rank pipe organ, a Wind Symphony group from Concordia College,
River Forest, Illinois, and a harp ensemble.
